This should be a standard for all who are interested in stamps, stamp collectors and those who are courious about stamp values. Its handy size is perfect, handbook size to take in the car, glove box or in your briefcase. If your thinking of becoming a collector, having this book will give you a great cross section from common to rare stamps and all that's in between. A must have handbook that is chock full of U.S. Postage Stamps and current values.

This is supposed to be a 2010 catalogue, yet the latest airmail stamps listed are from 2001. None of the seven airmails issued since then--or any variety thereof--is included. Moreover, all the airmail stamps that the USPS issued from 1993 to 2001 are listed under the year 1993. The semi-postal page lists Scott B1 and B2, but B3 is not listed. None of the newspaper stamps issued from 1865 to 1895 is listed. Even at the low price, this catalogue is not a good buy. From now on, I'm going to buy the Scott Pocket Stamp Catalogue instead.

Don't waste your money on this guide. After reading the beginning chapter written by someone from the well respected Linn's Stamp News and titled "Linn's Look at the New Stamp Issues," I had to check the cover to make sure I had the 2010 Blackbook. That opening chapter is about stamps issued in 2007 and compares them to 2006 issues. Did someone forget to change that chapter from a previous guide? Ouch! Not a good way to instill confidence in your guide by not updating the first chapter. So then I figured I better check to see that the stamp listings were at least a little more recent than 2007. To my initial relief, I saw the listings included stamps for 2009. But there was only one problem . . . The stamps listed as 2009 were actually the stamps issued in 2008! The 2008 listings were for 2007 stamps and the 2007 listings were for 2006 stamps! But then it didn't end there, it actually gets worse. The stamps issued in 2003, 2004, and 2005 are listed under 2002. And the headings for the stamps issued in 2001 and 2002 start a couple of pages too late, meaning that some 2002 stamps are listed in 2001 and some 2001 stamps are listed in 2000. Ugh! What a mess. Need I say more. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is that there were some nice articles in the guide. But the mistakes in the stamp listings make me doubt the accuracy of all the data in those listings. So what's the point in owning a guide you don't trust?

The Harris Reference Catalog is a valuable asset for every Philatelist. The color photos of the stamps make for quick identification, numbering, and establishment of market value. Ordering from Amazon is a no-brainer. The company is fast and completely dependable.

Scale was DOA. DYMO customer support is pathetic. Program does not install over previous version of the label software, and I have yet to find a way to import labels from my previous DYMO version other than one-by-one. Old labels must be opened and saved in Version 7 before they can be opened in Version 8. The Label Writer and Scale should be designed to only occupy 1 USB port.

Ask yourself: how much is your time worth? If you live a block away from your local post office, perhaps this solution is unnecessary, but when every minute counts, this is a no-brainer. At first, I was hesitant about purchasing this since it is significantly more expensive than the single spool version, but after using it for a few days, the convenience is definitely worth it. I use a Mac, and although the software interface has a distinct 90s look (at least to me), it works like a charm, and couldn't be easier to use. You start the software, which takes a few seconds, then select what type of package you're mailing, weigh it, and print the postage and/or label, which takes, and a kid you not, ONE SECOND. Not ten, at least not the one I have, one. That's pretty cool. A few comments on previous reviews. If cost is an issue, I would suggest not purchasing labels from Dymo. Just look online for a minute and you'll find great deals on labels elsewhere, like from label value dot com. You can use any labels that are compatible with this printer. (NOTE: the labels ink themselves, so you can't use regular labels that you run through a normal printer.) Re. the comment by another reviewer that about which spools it prints to, with the version of software I have, it remembers which spools is which automatically after you set it the first time. Something else I like: when I used to go to the post office, each trip was a single charge. Now, using Endicia, I pay a certain amount, say $100, and the postage draws off that, so there are less items each month on my bank statement. I really like not seeing a whole bunch of post office charges each month. My one BIG complaint: if you want to use this printer with more than one computer, you'll need to purchase the Dymo LabelWriter Print Server for ca. $140. Perhaps this has something to do with printing postage, but I really think it should work like any other printer and you should be able to print on a local network right out of the box. Either way, I am very happy with this purchase, and even my wife likes it and thinks it's easy to use, and that's a huge plus in my book.

The whole program is a great package. You can weigh your mail and it figures the correct postage and print it with ease. Will need a two more USB slots in the computer.

Great service and super product. Only one concern: What they tell you before you buy is that you get a "free" Endicia postage account. What they don't tell you is that you can only buy labels that work with this account from Endicia. Including shipping the labels cost about $.10 each so, not exactly a "free" service.

I've been using this product for about a month and the only reason I gave it a 4 rating instead of 5 is because there is no power off switch on the printer (which I knew before I purchased it) and the scale tends to jump around a bit (between 3 & 4 tenths of an ounce) with no objects on it. I have to zero it and get my item on it before it starts adding on the extra weight. Very happy with Amazon's Great prices and Excellent Service!!!

I hoped to use this software for my wedding invitations, but the amount of postage I needed (97 cents for a 2oz. square envelope) was not in their drop-down list of choices and you cannot set your own postage amount. Part of the reason for buying this software would be to create stamps with unusual postage amounts, but it does not allow for that sort of customization.

The last reviewer didn't see any point to this software. Partially that's true---you don't need it to create your photostamp, you can do the same thing online. However, there is one big plus to the software product: buying a single sheet of PhotoStamps direct from their website costs $24.99 + $2.99 shipping, at this writing. In contrast, Amazon is selling this "boxed" version ---which includes a free voucher for a single sheet of stamps---for seven bucks less than that. Do the math.

I'd give this no stars but it won't let me. Why would anyone buy this? I was in Compusa today as they are closing down on Long Island & thought about buying this. I put it down & said I will researh this more at home. As I suspected, you can go to [...] & do the same thing that this software does. The software doesn't allow you to print stamps at home so what's the point? The only plus is that you get a sheet of free stamps, so it's like buying a [...] coupon, that's a one time use. I don't get it?

I love this puzzle! It's so cute how they made a puzzle out of a grouping of stamps! (Obviously you have to read the description to know that it's a puzzle and not stamps. The "500 pc" should be a clue. Especially since it costs less than $10.)

I wanted Disney stamps, not a puzzle. This is not clearly indicated on the product description, and it's too inexpensive to send back.
